About the Evening

In honor of April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month, Washington State CASA is proud to announce our 5th annual "Light of Hope" signature fundraising event. It is an opportunity for community members to join together to support the vision of CASA: to ensure that every abused, neglected or abandoned child has a safe, supportive and permanent home. This year's event will be held Wednesday, April 30th 2008 at the Seattle Children’s Theatre in Seattle Center (near the Space Needle). A light appetizer reception begins at 6:00 pm; the program will run from 7:00 to 8:00pm.

The program will feature our keynote speaker Bryan Nash, author of A Phoenix Rising: Defining the Moments. As a survivor of abuse, Bryan has spent a majority of his adult life sharing his experience with others, and mentoring those who have undergone similar trauma. After the program he will be signing his book. For each book sold, $10 will go to Washington State CASA.

Registration is required and complimentary; there will be a request of financial support at the event. This is an opportunity for supporters to make a positive, lifelong difference for abused and neglected children.
