Kelly Stockman Reid, Executive Director

Kelly is a passionate advocate for children in Washington. Joining Washington State CASA in October 2005, Kelly directs program operations, represents Washington CASA in the community, and ensures effective stewardship of resources. Kelly brings extensive experience developing programs and policies to improve the well-being of children and families, through her work with Puget Sound Educational Service District – Head Start, Washington Council for Prevention of Child Abuse & Neglect, Comprehensive Health Education Foundation, and University of Washington Human Services Policy Center. Early in her career, Kelly held positions involving legal research and investigations. She serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Children’s Alliance, and is past chair of the Public Policy Council. Kelly holds a Master of Public Administration degree and BA degree in Society in Justice from the University of Washington.


Pat Helgren, Training Manager

Pat is responsible for developing and providing training for CASA programs and CASA programs staff in volunteer training techniques and best practices. Pat will also be working with programs interested in seeking compliance with NCASAA standards. In addition, Pat works with agencies in the child welfare and dependency area representing and advocating for Washington State CASA and those issues impacting CASA volunteers and clients they serve. Pat is a licensed mental health counselor and a children’s mental health specialist. With over seventeen years of experience working with children and families in non-profit mental health agencies, she has trained and supervised many volunteers who provide a variety of services to children and families. Pat earned her Masters of Education at the University of Washington and is also a Washington certified teacher.

Lara Rogers, Public Relations Manager

Lara is responsible for the development of promotional and recruitment materials and works with the media to promote CASA statewide. She coordinates the Legislative Partners program, working with volunteers to ensure that abused and neglected children have a voice in the State Legislature. Lara also works to support WaCASA in fundraising efforts. She graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in English and has completed additional courses in technical writing, editing and desktop publishing. She is a trained King County CASA Volunteer (currently without an active case).

Pradeep Naga, Finance & Administration Manager

Pradeep is responsible for the financial reporting and accounting for the organization, as well as any operational needs. He also participates in fund development, responding to volunteer inquiries and general program support. With a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan, Pradeep also brings a strong IT background and technical skills to WaCASA.

Ryan Murrey, Manager, Program Analysis

Ryan is responsible for researching and developing guidelines for data collection, surveys and reports for measuring the impact of funding for increasing the number of children with CASAs and the effectiveness of this representation . He also provides technical assistance for users of the NCASAA COMET database program and manages the Washington State CASA website. With a BA in Geology from The College of Wooster, Ryan was previously a network administrator with the Guernsey County (OH) Department of Human Services.

Sylvia Wood, Event Manager

As Event Coordinator, Sylvia is responsible for implementation of events and activities related to the annual conference, travel arrangements, and for planning and assisting local CASA programs in organizing fundraising events. She serves on the Resource Development Committee of the Board of Washington State CASA to help develop and promote activities. Sylvia also handles inquiries from potential volunteers. She comes to Washington State CASA with a varied background, including an education in science from Glendale CC and experience in event planning as a former restaurant owner.
